A wedding at Nonsuch Mansion 03/08/2022
On 03/08/2022 we were booked to DJ at a wedding at Nonsuch Mansion. Now, it was the first time we have ever DJ’ed at this venue, which is strange, as it was only a 20 minute drive and I can honestly say it was a joy to work at, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The venue is truly beautiful, the acoustics are great and there is no sound limiter!
R & D (our bride and groom) had originally made an enquiry in 2020 and had hoped to get married in 2021, but had pushed the wedding back a year due to Covid restrictions.
They had booked our 5 hour evening DJ package along with our selfie pod. When I first realised that the wedding was on a Wednesday, I must admit, a small part of me was a little worried that guests would go home early, and the party might not be very lively. I was correct to ignore that small part.
This was one of the most fun weddings I had worked at this year in fact. I started the evening off with a bit of motown, moving into disco, soul and rare groove before working my way up to R&B, into commercial house classics, like freed from desire, into garage and hip hop, before ending the night on floor fillers and cheese.
Before the wedding, the bride and groom had given me a playlist of their must plays and an idea of their tastes in music and I afterwards they told me that it was exactly what they were looking for.

Photo booth
As usual, our photobooth/selfie pod went down a storm. It was extremely popular with younger and older guests and for the price (only £200 when booked alongside a DJ package), you cannot go wrong. As you can see from the below photos, it was definitely a popular addition.
